A historic meeting was held Saturday in Taichung comprising of the Asia Area Presidency, four Area Seventies, both mission presidents, all 11 stake presidencies and 2 district presidencies of Taiwan! Together (a few wives were included), we discussed the future of the Church in Taiwan. We have a vision of 11 stakes growing to 20 in the next few years, and we can always hope for two more temples to bless the lives of the Taiwanese people!
One of the Area Seventies served his mission at the same time as Pres. Blickenstaff. He was one of the APs to the Taiwan Taipei Mission President when Pres. Blickenstaff came on island in 1976! I was grateful that at the meeting, I was able to personally thank Elder Funk for his general conference talk, and Sis. Funk for her example as a missionary.
