4-9-14 New Arriving Missionaries

Our first new missionary arrived from the Philippines with her MTC instructor:
Joined three hours later by a dozen missionaries arriving from the Provo MTC.
Delayed flights and customs kept us from getting back to the mission home until 1:30am:(
Hopefully they will sleep soundly for a few short hours!
In the morning, after breakfast, President trains on being PMG missionaries. Sister Blickenstaff introduces missionaries to the Blickenstaff family. Office missionaries train on mission operations:
After a morning of orientation, lunch at Wu Hua Ma Dumpling House:
One of our favorite places to eat!

Mai Cha 麥茶 (roasted barley tea) - so good!
Roasted barley tea is a caffeine-free, roasted-grain-based infusion made from barley. It is served year-round, hot in the winter and cold in the summer! If you want to know what it tastes like, think of liquid Super Golden Crisp, my favorite childhood cereal:)
Afternoon orientation with Sister Blickenstaff and APs:
After training on contacting, missionaries enjoy a traditional banquet dinner:

Daring elders and sisters taking on Sis. Blickenstaff's fish eye challenge:

And several takers on duck brain:

After an evening of Dan Jones proselyting at the night market,
missionaries share their successful experiences:
Up early for morning calisthenics:

After an orientation on the First Twelve Weeks training program, our new missionaries received a Red Envelope with the name of their new trainer and their first area. Then off to lunch at Hawaii 51:

 One last hurrah for Israel!
