We only had one new missionary arrive to the mission this transfer, and had he not requested to start early, we would have had none! We are so grateful for this native Taiwanese elder!
A member of his stake presidency and his wife (also parents of one of our Taiwan Taichung missionaries), sends him off at the mission home:

His trainer's younger brother just arrived to the same mission last transfer, and happened to be serving in the vicinity of the mission home. A happy time to see each other for the first time in months!
Our new elder will return to complete his orientation with the next group arriving late December!
