6-26-16 Historic Chiayi Stake Creation!

Dinner with the Elder Wong and the district President Tu and his wife:

We are so grateful for all the missionaries that have ever labored in the Chiayi Zone to bring souls unto Christ and establish a stake in Zion!

We were blessed to hear parting words from them both during the conference. President Tu recalled an occasion when area president Elder Funk asked him when Chiayi would become a stake. He replied with confidence that it would absolutely happen. Quoting D&C 82:14, he talked about how beautiful were the members of Chiayi! However, despite their faithfulness and diligence, the Lord gives us weaknesses so that we have opportunities to rely on the Savior (Ether 12:27). But as we press forward with steadfastness in Christ (2 Nephi 31:27), He helps us to endure to the end with hope. And through this brightness of hope, be able to establish Zion, even this beautiful stake of Zion in Chiayi!

6-22-16 New Arriving Missionaries!

The forecast was 100% rain at 5:00pm. But it rained early around 4:00pm and then cleared up for our

Dan Jones Experience!

We had a miracle on this new sister's first, and my last, Dan Jones Experience:)

We were getting rejection after rejection. So we decided to pray. Afterwards, we asked our new missionary who she wanted to contact and she chose two young girls sitting on a bench. After introducing our new missionary to them, we found out that they were both Christian! Our new missionary shared boldly that she was here in Taiwan to testify that Jesus Christ was Our Savior. Both girls were about to graduate from high school and expressed interest in learning more!
