3-1-16 Taichung West and South Zone Conference

Starting the morning session with new missionary introductions:
And departing missionary reflections:
Afterwards, President Blickenstaff led a discussion on Elder Jeffrey R. Holland's talk, "Knowing the Godhead." This talk was given in the 2013 Mission Presidents' Seminar when President and Sister Blickenstaff were in the Provo MTC preparing to come to Taiwan. One thing we look forward to at each zone conference is the opportunity to come prepared to learn by studying the words of one of our prophets, seers and revelators; interacting with one another to edify; and then receiving an invitation to act and become more successful missionaries!
Following the discussion, we enjoyed a humorous yet informative video on English Class. President then discussed with missionaries the importance of providing a quality public service to the people of Taiwan through teaching English. It is also a very effective way to find new investigators who have already demonstrated an interest in learning and have their own means of transportation to the chapel. The assistants presented some changes to the English Class structure to provide leadership, ongoing inservice by English Unit Leaders, and training on following up with English Class investigators. Sister Blickenstaff instructed as well as demonstrated creating English lesson plans using the ROPPPES model, and encourage English unit leaders to teach weekly inservice lessons using this method.
By the time the morning was over, our missionaries were ready for LUNCH!
Costco Pizza is always a hit!
